Kari had her start in the hospitality and foodservice industry as a Catering Director and held various business management roles in other industries. With approximately 10 years of business experience, she completed a transition to teaching program to teach business education but instead was placed as a middle school math teacher.

Kari was introduced to instructional design and eLearning while completing her M.Ed. in Educational Technology. She decided to combine her experience:10 years of business management, 8 years of instructional and elearning experiences by starting Instructional Design Studio LLC in 2016.

Currently, Kari is a consultant assisting corporate, military, and higher ed clients with their instructional design needs. She lives in Tampa, Florida, where she primarily works remotely and loves being able to work on a wide variety of projects collaborating with clients to solve their problems. Kari is also very active in her local Florida Suncoast Chapter ATD board of directors and participates in other networking opportunities to stay informed in the field.
