Content Analysis & Elearning Storyboard Development

End Users: Rental Car Agents

RCP Learning subcontracted instructional design services to analyze content that currently existed in the form of instructor-led training (ILT) PowerPoint slides and create storyboards for handoff to illustrators and media development for execution using Storyline 360. End users were sales agents at rental car center counters.

ANALYSIS

Content Received

A copy of the content that was used to facilitate and deliver the live in-person classroom training was provided for my analysis and review.

  • Instructor Manual
  • Facilitator PowerPoint slides
  • Student Handouts

Collaboration

Close collaboration with the SME/classroom facilitator was ongoing throughout the project for clarification and verification of accurate storyboard and scripts.

Collaboration with the media development team and project manager at RCP Learning remained a key aspect of the success of this project as well.

Content Analysis / Course Outline

Several rounds of discussions, phone calls, notes, reviews were conducted of the content prior to recommending a layout of modules and content for the course.

DESIGN

Elearning Module Storyboards

Very very basic storyboards were designed and handed off to expert illustrators and the media development team at RCP Learning that made the end product look as if it were a cartoon.

Each storyboard was created including the script to be recorded by a professional voiceover artist for each scene.

Knowledge check questions were designed for each storyboard module.

DEVELOP

Elearning Modules Developed & Implemented

After handoff of the approved storyboard, RCP Learning and their development team created amazing illustrations and content for me to review and approve as accurate to content intended.

RCP Learning and the client would review the content for initial approval and then they would take it from there and my participation in the project ended there as they no longer needed Instructional Design services.
